The Lost Garden Retreat COVID-19 Rules
Here at The Lost Garden Retreat we continue to follow Government guidelines and to ensure that we are offering you peace of mind for a relaxing break in a safe environment. In making a booking with The Lost Garden Retreat you are agreeing to adhere to the relevant Government guidance that will apply at the time of your stay.
We also understand how uncertain things are at the moment. Because of that, should your plans change due to COVID-19 we will work with you to rearrange your booking for an alternate date in the future. For bookings that are made where the arrival date may fall during a COVID-19 lockdown and therefore our unexpected closure, we are offering all our guests the ability to reschedule their dates to a later date in 2021 or dates in 2022. The deposit and any funds made for these bookings maybe applied to that future date. This rule will be applied to any future lockdown that may occur as a result of COVID-19. If your booking cannot be rescheduled for a later date or a date in 2022 then we are happy to offer you a full refund less a £35 admin fee to help cover our costs. This applies to all direct bookings only. For all bookings made via Canopy & Stars please refer to their booking terms and conditions.
We understand that these are unprecedented times and that should you or a member of your household/group become symptomatic or ill then you will not be able to travel. In this instance we ask that you inform us as soon as you become aware so that we can look to reschedule your booking to a future date and have the chance ourselves to rebook the unit to another potential guest. The refund policy would also apply in this situation.
We have worked hard to put in place a number of hygiene measures around the site. Antibacterial hand-pumps are located at the entrance to each Safari tent and also on the outside of the Honesty Shop. We kindly ask that you frequently apply this and do so before entering the tent for the first time and also on entering the Honesty Shop.
Check out time is promptly at 10am to ensure that our staff have sufficient time to thoroughly clean each safari tent and clean the hot-tubs with an agent that has been recommended according to government guidelines.
Due to new COVID-19 cleaning procedures we also require you to run one dishwasher load of crockery and cutlery before you leave – please stack carefully and do not overfill the dishwasher and place it on a 70 degree cycle. Turn the dial to the 70 degree option and then press the ‘VARIO-SPEED’ button. This will enable a shorter (1hr 30mins) cycle and leaves our cleaners the time to run the rest through another cycle during the allocated changeover cleaning period.
We also ask guests to strip all bed linen and place all towels into the orange linen bags provided. These can be found under the bunkbed in the bunk room. Place linen into ONE orange bag and all towels including tea towels into the other.
Additionally some items or extras may be subject to change at short notice.
This policy is reviewed regularly inline with Government guidelines and therefore is subject to change.
