For those who prefer not to use this method please us Hintlesham Golf Club as the nearest landmark and then use the instructions below to help.

    By car

If you are coming from the A12/A14 Interchange you will arrive with the Golf Club and Hintlesham Hall gates to your right. Continue past this entrance, following a right hand bend. When you get to the next left hand bend in the main road you will see the signs for The Lost Garden Retreat to your right. (If you arrive from the Hadleigh/Sudbury direction these will be on your left).

Continue up this track connecting onto the driveway to Hintlesham Golf Club. Head past the golf club on your right and follow the signs to The Lost Garden Retreat which will lead to the woodland.

The track runs alongside the Golf Course on your right and once you arrive level with the woods you will see a larger sign for the main entrance which is to the left.

Once you have turned into the woodland drive straight ahead for approx 150 yards and you will arrive at the opening of the arboretum. Please park in your designated car park on the left within the woodland. There is a carpark slot next to each tent pathway and fits up to 2 vehicles. The first tent you arrive at is The Artists Retreat, the next is The Cowshed and the third off the corner of the lake is The Fishermans Hideaway. The fourth is the Woodsman’s Lodge which is situated around the other side of the lake. All private log stores and waste units are also situated in your carparks.

    Journey itself and local supplies

Heading from London please take A12 until it meets the A14 major roundabout. From there you will head about 10 minutes into the countryside from that interchange. Pick up any supplies you might like from Tescos supermarket which is just off that roundabout to your left.

If you prefer a farm shop en route and a bite to eat then try Hall Farm Shop (CO7 6LS). From here you are just 15mins away from us. There are also animals to see and feed here for any children bored from the journey!

There is also the beautiful market town of Hadleigh 4.4miles from our site and Hollow Trees is the nearest Farm Shop which is 5.7miles away.

If you have any concerns or special requirements then please do not hesitate to contact us. We will do our best to help.

There will be wood provided for your stay so no need to bring your own supply. We also offer a complimentary welcome starter pack of firelighters, kindling and charcoal to get you going on arrival, which you can purchase more of on site at our Honesty Shop.

We look forward to greeting you on arrival.
